Damage to the vehicle
Collision, rollover, fire, hail or other damage to the car during your rental. You pay at most the deductible and the insurer pays the rest.
What each car's insurance covers, what the deductible is and how to lower it with the Premium and Platinum coverages.
Yes. Every car rented on Rentennials in Argentina has comprehensive insurance with a deductible that includes third-party liability, approved for self-drive rental, no matter which coverage you choose. If something happens, the most you pay is that car's deductible, and anything above it is covered by the insurer. If you want to pay even less, you can add the Premium Coverage or the Platinum Coverage, which considerably reduce the deductible and the security deposit.
No car is listed without a valid comprehensive policy. It is the policy of the car's own owner (the host) and it must be approved for self-drive rental. We take care of verifying it: only vehicles with this insurance can be listed. At pick-up, the host gives you a copy of the policy.
Collision, rollover, fire, hail or other damage to the car during your rental. You pay at most the deductible and the insurer pays the rest.
Damage you may cause to other people, other cars or third-party property, as required by Argentine law.
If the car is stolen while you have it, you don't pay the vehicle's value: you pay at most the deductible.
If the car can't keep going, the policy includes a towing service. The mileage or service limit is set by each insurer and may vary.
Rentennials is not an insurance company. We verify the policies and provide coverage through agreements with companies in the Argentine market.
The deductible is the maximum amount you pay if the car is damaged or stolen during your rental. Anything above that amount is paid by the insurer. Each car has its own deductible, because it depends on the host's policy, and you can see it in the listing before booking.
For example, a scratch on the bumper.
You only pay the actual cost of the repair. Rentennials mediates with the host so you aren't overcharged.
For example, a collision that damages a door, a fender and a headlight.
You pay the deductible and the insurer pays everything else.
For example, a bump while parking and, days later, another one on the road.
Each claim is independent: the deductible applies per event.
The most you would pay if there is a claim. If nothing happens, you pay nothing.
A temporary hold on your credit card that is placed before the rental and released when you return the car if there were no issues. It is not a charge.
The deductible and the deposit may be different amounts. Both go down if you add the Premium or Platinum Coverage.
All three start from the same comprehensive insurance on the car. What changes is how much you pay if something happens and what else is protected. You choose your coverage when you book.

The price of Premium and Platinum depends on the car and the number of days. You'll see it before confirming your booking.
Premium and Platinum don't replace the car's insurance. They are backed by another insurance company, different from the one that insures the vehicle, which covers part of that policy's deductible. You only pay the reduced deductible.
