Not far from Orlando, just 45 minutes away in the Winter Haven area, is one of the most sought-after theme parks. It may sound surprising, but we're not talking about Disney or Florida. We're referring to Legoland Florida. You can already guess what it's about: a space entirely inspired by the classic Lego building blocks. While it draws in adults who remember their childhood, the truth is that it is designed for children aged 12 to 16.

Like all Lego parks, its environment is planned down to the smallest detail. Cities, animals, and characters made of blocks await you. There are gentle roller coasters, water rides, shows, free-play areas, and a water park.

This option is perfect for trips with young children for several reasons. On one hand, while there are people, you won't find the crowds that you find at Disney or Universal. On the other, the attractions are designed for these ages. Also, the pace and time you need to explore the park allows you to have a slightly more relaxed day.

It has two locations: one in downtown Orlando and another in Kissimmee. Both are easy to reach by car and can be combined with other activities in Orlando. The park offers the classics: rides, roller coasters, go-karts to make you feel like Colapinto, and a much simpler atmosphere than the big parks. Here you'll find something authentic and local.

Discovery Cove is a very different option from what we have been describing so far. This theme park is not just any ordinary experience, but rather its concept is centered on giving you a premium and exceptional moment. The venue has limited capacity, and this alone allows visitors to relax and disconnect. It is something like spending the day as if you were at a Caribbean resort. 

This Orlando park is designed for just that: resting, strolling, and connecting with nature.

There's one thing for sure: if you're interested in swimming with dolphins, snorkeling, or being in a lagoon with stingrays, this is your place. It may seem a little different from the rest of Orlando's attractions, and it is. The tropical rivers and white sandy beaches catch visitors to Discovery Cove off guard and leave them amazed. 

You won't find shows or Disney characters here. There's tranquility, lush vegetation, and soothing sounds. It's a perfect plan if you're traveling as a couple, if you need a relaxing day in the middle of a busy trip, or if you want an experience unlike anything else Orlando has to offer.
